Pastor’s Bible Study

Pastor Mike Smith offers a weekly Bible study at the church (Tuesdays at 10 a.m.) for those who wish to go deep into scripture.  The group is currently studying the Gospel of Matthew, reviewing the world of Jesus (customs, language, social structures) in order to understand the scriptures in context.  Then the group explores the different ways that the scriptures apply to our own lives and world.  New participants are welcome at any time.

Women’s Bible Study

Led by Linda Hance
Thursday 6:30 a.m., Pagliacci’s (319 N Logan)

This scripture-based format, generally using published Bible studies as a beginning, supplemented by commentaries, witnessing, and prayer. The group is made up of women aged 23 to 65-plus years who also enjoy an early start on the day.

As a group, we select the subject to be studied, which usually involves three or four series over the year. We expect and welcome class participation. Some of our members have been participating for many years, and lately we’ve been blessed with some people of other churches to join our Bible study. We believe we are richer for this reason. We recently studied “Just Give Me Jesus,” by Anne Graham Lotts, and will be starting a sequel to “Being a Mary in a Martha World,” this fall.
