HELLO FROM THE KROST FAMILY:

Pastor Todd, Christina, and their daughters Madeline, Ava, and Harper, are delighted to return to the East District (formerly the Embarras River District)! They previously served at Carrier Mills First UMC in Cache River District and at Neoga Grace/Toledo/Etna UMCs from 2014-2018. Pastor Todd also oversees a rotating team of pastors who serve Greenup and Cottonwood UMCs.

Pastor Todd completed his Masters in Divinity at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL in 2014 and was ordained in June 2017. His favorite parts of ministry are building relationships, exploring church history, and service/mission work.

Christina is a Program Officer at the Lumpkin Family Foundation based in Mattoon where she fosters healthier and more equitable communities in rural Illinois, emphasizing sustainability and environmental justice. She has also served as a lay delegate to the 2020\4 General Conference and the North Central Jurisdictional Conference of the United Methodist Church. She also chairs the Board of Church and Society for the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of the UMC.

Madeline is a student at Eastern Illinois University perusing a degree in art education. Ava attends Mattoon High School and competes in tennis and track while also spending time with her friends. Harper enjoys riding her bicycle and dancing. The family also have a cat named Max and a golden doodle dog named Honey.
